TIU is an Official ICOF Recognized University.
ICOF in partnership with the Zambian Government
Over 50 years ago, Dr. John W. Johnston as an educator, Christian, and innovator, developed the concept to provide a quality and acceptable education to all parts of the world at a very affordable cost. Due to the high cost and limitations of traditional education, the traditional system was not able to do this.
Founded in conjunction with The Original International University Foundation in 1973, as the formal College of Security, Technology, and Management, the name changed to TIU in 1997, and finally to TIU-ME in 2008. [Click here for documentation]. TIU-ME has operated legally and in good standing in the State of Missouri since 1997 and is an exempt institution, which is the basis for its continued legal operation. This information can be verified by the Missouri Coordinating Board of Higher Education.
Since we started as an integral component of TIU, our operations and procedures are fairly identical. Working hand-in-hand for many years in the same offices, we are also able to verify original documentation issued to students for degree recognition and verification purposes. The main campus and office have apparently closed and we remain to assist former worldwide TIU students with the verification of obtained credentials under the assistance of www.ibeconline.org and www.aahea.org professional educational consultants.
TIU had several authorized campus locations around the world, along with some that were not authorized, and never a part of the TIU system. This created discourse around the world, which led to controversy about the TIU system of schools. Many students spent several years in a campus-based setting, along with intense study, only to be confused with those that may have been involved in a fraudulent, non-sanctioned school. Our IU Panama had full ministry of education recognition, a listing with the University of Panama was listed in the UNSECO Worldwide Directory, Approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and others. Our degrees were in 100% reciprocity with IU PANAMA. TIU has been an exempt school in the State of Missouri since its founding in 1973. Exempt status is the basis of our legal operation in the state to offer all degrees at all levels.
TIUME is a pioneer in distance learning since its founding in 1994, the International University provides degree and degree completion programs designed for students whose geographic, professional, or personal time commitments prevent them from completing their education in traditional on-campus programs. To date, the TIU system of schools has provided over 320,000 students with a quality education.
Candidates desirous to finish or to further their education owe it to themselves to contact the Admissions Department of TIU for further information on how The International University can help them reach their future academic goals. In today's competitive marketplace, career advancement is often dependent on you having an advanced degree. Yet it is also dependent on you NOT having to miss work to complete your degree program. TIU gives you the opportunity, using your professional expertise, skills, knowledge, and life experience, to earn your Bachelor's, Masters or Doctoral degree at your own pace and on your own terms.
If you are at least 26 years of age and have a high school diploma and a minimum of three years of work experience in the field you are seeking a degree in, then TIU can help.
NOTICE: TIU-ME is not accepting new students, but is here to assist former TIU students worldwide. We can refer you to internationally recognized and accredited schools in a variety of disciplines. TIU credits can be applied to many of these programs with our evaluation and attestation services.
